The Nashville Jazz Cats
Ken grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and started his path as a musical performer when he was three years old singing on the WMAK radio program “Breakfast at the Maxwell House”. Ken started studying piano at age five and by the time he was eight, he began singing on the Saturday afternoon WSM radio show called “Opry Spotlight
Ken continued to sing on radio and television shows and learned to play guitar, piano, drums, and bass. By 1967, Ken had landed the drum spot in Nashville’s most popular pop/R&B band of that era, the Fairlanes ….which led the way to his studio work on drums, backing vocals and occasional guitar and keyboard parts. He was house drummer/co-band leader for the very first Mid-South Pop Festival and since has worked with a plethora of recording artists; in the studio, on tour and as a band leader. Ken is proud to bring his musical and entertainment experience to Adonda Records and to The Nashville Jazz Cats’ recordings and performance.
